Trip Cancellation Insurance

Education Abroad is pleased to announce a new initiative to improve student’s travel opportunities. We would like to present a protection plan through InsureMyTrip.com, which includes travel insurance coverages for trip cancellations and interruptions due to covered reasons with the option to add Cancel for Any Reason coverage* to help protect the financial investment of academic travel.

The Academic Explorer plan is designed to offer financial protection in the event the student must unexpectedly cancel or interrupt their trip. There is no requirement to buy this coverage.

Optional Cancel for Any Reason coverage is available in most states when certain conditions are met*, giving the insured the flexibility to cancel their trip up to two days prior to departure.

We recommend that students who enrich travel in the pursuit of academia consider enrolling in the travel protection program. This program can be accessed to secure a quote online at this link.

Please note that coverage is limited to trips having a maximum expense of $25,000. For important disclaimers please review the Academic Explorer brochure.

*Conditions for Cancel for Any Reason eligibility: Plan must be purchased within 15 days of the date the insured's initial trip payment is received, all subsequent travel arrangements must be insured in full within 15 days of payment, and cancellation must be no later than 2 days prior to the scheduled departure date of the trip. Cancel for Any Reason is available at an additional cost.
